Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant - EV and Level 2 EV Charging Program

TMLP offers $450 rebates for purchasing a new or used electric vehicle (up to 2 per household) and $300 rebates for Level 2 charger installation, plus $10 monthly credits for off-peak charging (9 pm to 9 am). You must be an TMLP residential customer with 6+ months of active service, a $0 account balance, and provide purchase invoices and registration; Level 2 chargers must be installed by licensed electricians, and all purchases must occur between January 1 and December 31 with applications submitted by January 31 of the following year.

Level 2 charger installation work qualifies customers for $300 rebates when performed by licensed electricians and professional contractors using new chargers only. Contractors should direct customers to the TMLP Drives Electric website for complete qualifications and application procedures, and note that rebates are credited to the customer's TMLP account with up to 8 weeks processing time.
