Program Summary
Denver will provide a mini-grant to organizations that want to improve their green workforce training in 2025. Grants are available to nonprofits, training providers, community colleges, and technical colleges.
The program aims to strengthen training for careers in:Clean energy fields, such as building electrification, energy efficiency, and renewable energyElectric vehicle technology and infrastructure, including assembly & maintenance, infrastructure, and battery storageNatural resource management, including water quality, tree care, and ecological restoration.Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed monthly, with one grant awarded per month; if an application is not chosen but meets the eligibility criteria, it will rollover to the next month for consideration. Funding can be used for:Staff time dedicated to put in place or administer proposed programsPaid Training of at least $20/hourWrap Around Services/Barrier Reduction ServicesCurriculum development or modification of existing curriculum and program deliveryIndustry recognized credentialsEmployer/Industry engagementRecruitment eventsTrain the trainer costsTraining in a language other than EnglishTraining equipment or PPE to ensure safe training spaces
