Program Summary
Denver provides incentives for various home energy technologies. Incentives are available for single-family homes, duplexes, and town homes, covering existing homes, rehabs, and new construction; commercial and multifamily buildings are eligible for the city's heat pump rebates for existing buildings. These incentives can be stacked with incentives from Xcel Energy, the state government, the federal government, and the Inflation Reduction Act. Available rebates include:Electric vehicle charger: 80% of cost, up to $200BI-directional electric vehicle charger: 80% of project cost, up to $2,000Cold climate air source heat pump: 40% of project cost, up to $1,200Ground source heat pump: 80% of project cost, up to $1,200Cold climate mini-split heat pump: 40% of project cost, up to $1,200Smart heat pump water heater: 60% of project cost, up to $500Solar*: $1 per watt, up to $2,000 or 80% of project cost (whichever is less)Battery storage*: 80% of project cost, up to $500Electric service upgrade*/**: 80% of project cost, up to $1,000*These rebates are only available to residents who have already installed a heat pump, heat pump water heater, or bidirectional electric vehicle charger. **An electric service upgrade can be combined with the rebates for heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, solar, and battery storage. It cannot be paired with the rebates for electric vehicle chargers.
