MassSAVE (Electric) - CI Connected Solutions Program

This program is for commercial and industrial businesses, not homeowners. If you operate a business served by MassSAVE member utilities (including National Grid, Eversource, or Unitil), you can earn incentives by reducing electricity use during peak demand events through energy storage or demand reduction tools—you'll be notified before each event and paid based on your average kilowatt reduction over the season.

The ConnectedSolutions program targets commercial and industrial customers who can reduce peak-hour electricity consumption using advanced controls, energy storage, or active monitoring. Contractors and curtailment service providers (CPOWER, Enel-X, IPKeys, or Voltus) help customers develop curtailment plans and integrate with the Program Administrator's DERMS platform; customers receive performance-based incentives calculated as $/kW for average demand reductions during summer events.

CI Connected Solutions is a performance-based demand response program administered by MassSAVE across eight Massachusetts utilities (National Grid, Eversource, Unitil, Cape Light Compact, Columbia Gas, Berkshire Gas, New England Gas, and NSTAR). Eligible commercial/industrial customers must be existing electric customers paying into the energy efficiency fund; they receive $/kW incentives for average kilowatt reductions during peak demand events, with payments based on seasonal performance. Customers participate via curtailment service providers who manage DERMS integration or through direct participation arrangements coordinated with the Program Administrator.
