Louisville Gas and Electric and Kentucky Utilities – Bring Your Own Thermostat

This is s a financial incentive program for residential customers. Customers can buy discounted thermostats from the online marketplace and enroll the thermostat in the program to receive a $50 incentive along with an additional incentive of $5 for each event they participate in.

The program uses the thermostats as an event-based, load control resource that enables the utility to directly manage summer and winter loads during hours of peak demand through smart thermostats without the need for switches.
