Solar Planning Program
Administered by Energy Trust of Oregon
Energy Trust of Oregon provides cash incentives and technical support to help you incorporate solar or solar plus battery storage into your building design from the earliest stages, reducing installation costs and protecting you from rising electricity rates. You can earn incentives for planning activities like including a solar contractor in early design meetings, conducting solar feasibility studies, and exploring battery storage options, with additional support available if you're a nonprofit, Tribal Nation, or affordable multifamily housing provider. Contact Energy Trust at 1.877.467.0930 or through their website to enroll and connect with a solar trade ally contractor who can guide you through the incentive process.
As a solar trade ally, you can help commercial building teams and new construction projects access Energy Trust cash incentives by participating in early design meetings, conducting solar and battery storage feasibility studies, and supporting installation of solar electric systems and storage solutions. The program offers increased incentive amounts for projects serving nonprofits, Tribal Nations, and affordable multifamily housing, and coordinates incentives across early planning stages through final installation to maximize customer value. Enroll your customers and coordinate with Energy Trust's outreach managers to structure projects that capture incentives at each phase, from design assistance through construction.
The Solar Planning Program provides cash incentives and technical support for solar photovoltaics and lithium-ion battery storage in new commercial construction and major renovations, targeting local government, schools, and other building types. Incentive stages include early design add-ons for contractor participation, development assistance for solar and battery feasibility studies, and installation incentives with enhanced amounts for eligible nonprofits, Tribal Nations, and affordable multifamily housing. Applicants enroll early, work with outreach managers to set goals, collaborate with trade ally contractors on design, and receive incentives throughout planning and construction; specific incentive amounts are subject to change and available on the Solar page.
