Clean Fuels Program

The Clean Fuels Program is no longer accepting applications as of March 15, 2023; it was a competitive grant program that funded replacement of medium and heavy-duty trucks or buses with lower-emitting alternative fuels to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. For current funding opportunities, check Arkansas's Go RED! program (for school buses and medium/heavy-duty diesel vehicles, with applications reopening July 1, 2026) or the EVSE Program for EV charging station installation.

The Clean Fuels Program ended March 15, 2023 and is closed to new applications; it previously supported repowering or replacing eligible medium trucks, heavy trucks, and buses with alternative-fuel technologies for public, private, and nonprofit entities. Contractors should refer customers to the active Go RED! program (accepting applications starting July 1, 2026 with rolling monthly deadlines through November 30, 2026) or the EVSE charging infrastructure program for current opportunities.
