Tucson Electric Power - Smart EV Charging Program
This program is not available to residential homeowners; it is limited to commercial businesses, multifamily housing complexes, and nonprofit organizations seeking to install Level 2 or DC fast charging equipment. However, TEP's Smart EV Charging Program application period has closed, so rebates are no longer being accepted at this time.
TEP no longer accepts applications for the Smart EV Charging Program rebates for EV charging equipment installation. Contractors interested in EV charging work can partner with Qmerit, which TEP has contracted to provide turnkey installation services for commercial customers, or explore the program's fleet advisory and assessment services for customers evaluating electrification opportunities.
The Smart EV Charging Program provided rebates and technical support to commercial, multifamily, and nonprofit customers installing Level 2 and DC fast charging equipment; however, the application period is now closed. TEP continues to support fleet electrification through contracted turnkey installation services (Qmerit), a Total Cost of Ownership tool, and custom fleet assessment services to help organizations evaluate operational savings and charger infrastructure needs.
