Vermont New Electric Vehicle Incentive Program

Future funding is uncertain and will require legislative authorization. Due to state budget cycles, the earliest that funds could become available is mid-2025. Eligibility requirements may change if the program resumes. EVs purchased before then will not be retroactively eligible for a state incentive. The State of Vermont offers a variety of incentives for purchasers of new plug-in electric vehicles and all-electric vehicles. Incentives are available for plug-in electric vehicles that are sold or leased as new with an MSRP of $50,000 or less. Incentives vary by tax filing status.
