This program is not available to contractors—it is closed as of May 2025. When active, it provided fleet owners grants covering up to 80% of the incremental cost to replace diesel vehicles with alternative fuel or hybrid equivalents, requiring minimum replacement of 10 vehicles per application and achieving at least 25% NOx emission reductions.
The Texas Clean Fleet Program (TCFP), part of TERP, is currently closed as of May 2025. When operational, it funded heavy-duty and light-duty fleet conversions in eligible Texas counties, requiring applicants to operate 75+ registered vehicles and submit at least 10 vehicles for replacement; awards covered up to 80% of incremental purchase costs and were scored on cost-per-ton of NOx reduced and total NOx reductions, with preference for ozone nonattainment areas. Administration occurs through TCEQ's SUNSS online system.
