Customers can receive their CHEAPR rebate at the dealer.The Connecticut Hydrogen and Electric Automobile Purchase Rebate (CHEAPR) offers incentives for Connecticut residents who purchase or lease fuel cell electric, plug-in hybrid electric, or battery electric vehicles. The incentive value will vary depending on the fuel type. Adders are available for qualified individuals under Rebate+ New and Rebate+ Used; to qualify, a customer must either 1) reside in an Environmental Justice Community or Distressed Municipality, 2) participate in a qualifying state or federal program (e.g. SNAP or Medicaid), or 3) have an income less that 300% of the federal poverty level.
