EWEB - Net Metering

With EWEB's net metering program, you can install a renewable energy system (up to 25 kW) such as solar panels to offset your electricity use, and any excess generation is credited to your account monthly at 3.99 cents per kWh as of 2026. Your system must be sized primarily to meet your own energy needs at the site, and EWEB offers both residential and commercial solar incentives to help offset installation costs.

EWEB's net metering accommodates systems up to 25 kW using solar, wind, fuel cells, hydroelectric, landfill gas, digester gas, biomass, and waste technologies; systems must be customer-sited and primarily offset on-site usage. Contractors must meet EWEB's specific interconnection and program requirements, which are detailed in the utility's contractor resources; excess generation is compensated at 3.99 cents per kWh for net-metered credits, or 6.34 cents per kWh if sold directly to EWEB as purchased power and RECs.

EWEB's net metering program compensates eligible distributed renewable systems (≤25 kW) at 3.99 cents/kWh for monthly excess generation or 6.34 cents/kWh for direct sales beginning in 2026, using an avoided-cost methodology that reflects the financial value of local renewables to the utility.
