You can install a solar photovoltaic system on your residential or multifamily property and earn $0.0819 per kWh for excess electricity you send back to GP&L's grid through net metering. To participate, your system must meet GP&L's Solar Generation Installation Requirements and pass inspections; once approved, GP&L installs a bi-directional meter to track power flowing to and from the grid.
GP&L accepts solar PV installations for residential and multifamily customers who meet the utility's Solar Generation Installation Requirements; your work must pass GP&L inspections before the customer receives their bi-directional meter and begins earning credits at $0.0819 per kWh for excess generation.
