Brunswick EMC - Net Metering

EligibilityThe Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation offers net metering to residential customers with renewable generators up to 10 kW. Eligible technologies include solar photovoltaics, wind, fuel cells, microturbines, and biomass generators. The cooperative reserves the right to cap aggregate net metered capacity at 0.5% of historical peak system load, offering net metering on a first-come, first-served basis.Net Excess GenerationNet excess generation is credited at the retail rate. Customers are compensated at the retail rate for any excess credit on June 30th of each year, and the balance is set to zero.Additional Charges and RequirementsNet-metered customers are charged an additional $5.00 monthly interconnection facilities charge and are required to carry a minimum of $100,000 in comprehensive general liability insurance.
