Program Summary

Note: This type of arrangement is no longer unique, nor does it really fit into the policies that DSIRE tracks.

Therefore, it has been removed from the DSIRE website 10/8/2015. Adams County has contracted with SunShare to provide seven of the county’s facilities with 189 kilowatts of energy from a Community Solar Garden to be constructed by December 2014. When SunShare’s solar garden comes online, Adams County will be the first county in the nation to power its buildings with community solar energy. The county projects energy cost savings of $300,000 over the next 20 years from the SunShare contract.
