Entergy Texas - Home Performance with ENERGY STAR

Entergy Texas offers an incentive program that provides residential customers with a comprehensive, whole-house approach to energy efficiency. Qualified customers are eligible for financial incentives totaling up to $5,000 for home energy efficiency upgrades. For more information, visit the program web site. Participation in the program involves several steps. A customer first selects a participating contractor, who completes an energy assessment of the home. Next, the customer selects the energy efficiency upgrades based on the results of the assessment and signs a contract with the contractor, who then completes the upgrades. Finally, incentives for qualified measures are paid to the contractor and passed on to the customer through a discount to the work done on the home. Contractors are required to provide customers with a written warranty on labor and materials for a minimum of one year from the date of service completion. Depending on the results of the home energy assessment, eligible improvements may include: central air conditioner replacement; comprehensive air conditioner tune-up; air source heat pump replacement; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning duct sealing and replacement; a high efficiency electric water heater; water heater jackets; attic, wall, and floor insulation; air sealing; solar screens; energy-efficient windows; compact florescent light bulbs; and Energy Star pool pumps.
