Program Summary

The City of Lauderhill passed Ordinance 10O-02-108 creating LEED Design Standards. All new City-owned and operated buildings, and City- owned and operated buildings undergoing major renovation, shall aim to achieve a  Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating of "LEED Silver". Design recommendations are also allowed to be made in accoradnce with "LEED for Neighborhood Development" guidelines. In addition to LEED Design Standards, all city owned appliance must be Energy Star certified.
