NorthWestern Energy (Gas) - Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

NorthWestern Energy's Commercial Natural Gas Rebate Program provides incentives for energy-efficient equipment including insulation, water heating, and commercial cooking appliances at your existing business facility. To apply, download the Program Guidelines and Application from the official program page, review rebate amounts for your specific equipment type, and submit the form; NorthWestern Energy staff may inspect completed work before approving your rebate. Note that new construction is not eligible, and final rebate approval depends on demonstrated energy savings.

This program allows you to help commercial natural gas customers in Montana access rebates for efficiency upgrades across heating, insulation, water heating, appliances, and electronics in existing facilities. NorthWestern Energy maintains a list of Program Contractors as a resource; working with a contractor is optional but can streamline the application and inspection process, which may occur before rebate payment. The E+ Commercial Natural Gas Savings Program provides rebates to NorthWestern Energy commercial natural gas customers for efficiency improvements in existing commercial, industrial, federal, institutional, agricultural, and multi-family facilities; new construction is excluded. Funding comes from natural gas supply rates and is limited, with final eligibility determined by NorthWestern Energy based on whether energy savings justify the rebate amount. Applicants must download and complete the Program Guidelines and Application, detailing equipment types and associated incentives, and may be subject to job inspection before payment.
