Program Summary
The PSE&G Direct Install Program provides an energy audit and recommended efficiency upgrades at 100% at up front costs, while requiring the participants to repay as little as 20% of the total—interest-free—over 60 months on their PSE&G bill.
The program targets all government, non-profit entities who receive natural gas and/or electricity from PSE&G. Customers with electric demand of 200 kW or less will be eligible for the program. Facilities with higher energy demand will be considered on a case by case basis. Eligible facilities include municipal, local, state and federal government offices, courtrooms, town halls, police and fire stations, sanitation department buildings, transportation department structures, regional authorities, correctional facilities, schools, community centers, and non-profit facilities. County or regionally structured bodies such as county colleges and regional utility authorities (water/sewer) also are included. The Program offers a walk-through energy-savings improvements audit.
The program will initially provide 100% of the cost to install the recommended energy-savings improvements. Upon completion of the work, the customers repay as little as 20% of the total—interest-free—over 60 months on their PSE&G bill (or in one lump-sum payment, if preferred). Energy-savings improvements available through this Sub-Program are primarily lighting upgrades, insulation, refrigeration and HVAC upgrades while other energy-saving measures may be considered.
