Unitil (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Program

Unitil offers its New Hampshire residential gas customers a number of programs to encourage more energy-efficient homes. The Home Performance with Energy Star Program is available to customers with higher than average energy bills.

The program includes a home energy audit which identifies potential areas for energy efficiency improvements. Qualifying improvements can result in a 50% utility rebate for the customer, up to $4,000. Common energy savings improvements utilized by the program include:Sealing air leaks and adding insulationImproving heating and cooling systemsSealing ductworkUpgrading lighting, appliances, and water heating equipmentInstalling renewable energy systemsUntil also offers rebates for residential new construction through the Natural Gas Energy Star Homes/Residential New Construction Program.
