Detroit Public Lighting Department - Commercial and Industrial Energy Wise Program

The Detroit Public Lighting Department (PLD) offers commercial and industrial customers rebates for energy efficient equipment. Specific rebate amounts, equipment requirements, and applications are available on the program web site. In order to qualify, equipment must be purchased between January 1, 2014 and November 30, 2014. In order to reserve funds, interested customers should send an application to the Energy Wise program. Program staff must conduct a pre-upgrade inspection at the site and approve the upgrades before new equipment is purchased. Rebate amounts for specific equipment is detailed in the program application. Custom rebates are also available based on the amount of electricity consumption saved through energy efficiency upgrades. A worksheet is available in the program application.
