Program Summary
San Diego Gas and Electric (SDGE) natural gas incentives have been suspended in September due to the State of California 2011-2012 Fiscal Year Budget (SB87) provision that authorizes a transfer of funds from the Gas Public Purpose Program (PPP) Fund to the State General Fund. Pending a decision from the CPUC, projects that have not been postmarked or received a post-installation inspection prior to July 22, 2011 will not be given incentives. Click here or more information. Residential customers of SDGE are eligible for point-of-sale or mail-in rebates on energy-efficient central furnaces and water heaters. Participating retailers provide instant rebates on eligible products; a list of retailers is available on the program web site. Items that qualify for the instant rebate are not eligible for the rebate application program. In addition, SDGE offers a rebate application for energy-efficient appliances that are not purchased at a participating point-of-sale rebate provider. The rebate application and a list of eligible appliances are available on the program web site.
