Program Summary

NOTE: This offer expired December 31, 2011.  The summary provided here is for information only. Using funding provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the City of Boston is offering income-eligible residents and landlords an opportunity to increase the energy efficiency of their homes and residences. Residents must be between 60% and 120% of the state's median income and in the case of renters, they must get written permission from landlords to proceed with any installations. After an initial eligibility verification process, Renew Boston will conduct an on-site energy assessment for free. Pending the results of the assessment, the Renew Boston representative will recommend and make improvements in insulation, air sealing, and lighting among other efficiency upgrades. Up to $3,500 in improvements will be made at no cost to the resident. Only improvements made through the Renew Boston program by Renew Boston representatives (and official, authorized partners) are eligible.
