Program Summary

The application deadline for the Indiana Solar Thermal grant was September 1, 2010. This program is no longer available. The Indiana Solar Thermal grant program is available to public institutions, non-profit organizations, and for-profit commercial entities that use over 100,000 gallons of hot water per year. The grant will cover 25% of the cost, up to $25,000. Grant applications will be evaluated on a variety of criteria, including the number of jobs created, whether or not the project will be installed by April 30, 2011, cost of energy, and general environmental benefits. Additional considerations will be taken into account, such as they type of fuel displaced, if the project incorporates an educational component, appropriate system sizing among others. All systems must include monitoring and all grantees will be required to comply with reporting deadlines.
