Program Summary

Kentucky Utilities Company (KU) offers rebates to all commercial customers who pay a DSM charge on monthly bills. Rebates are available for a variety of energy efficiency measures including chillers, energy audits, renovations, lighting, motors, pumps, and VFDs. Customers must complete and sign an application form prior to project completion. Measure type, quantity and estimated completion date must be included. Eligible customers will receive an Installation Confirmation Form, which is to be completed and returned to KU within 90 days after project completion. Proof of purchase, installation details, model number, operable date and manufacturer's information must be included with form. Rebates will be received in check form within 45 days of receiving Installation Confirmation Form. Please contact utility or visit web site provided above.Eligibility:1. LG&E and KU commercial and industrial customers who are paying into the DSM mechanism are eligible to submit a Business Rebates application.2. If an LG&E or KU industrial customer had previously opted out of the DSM mechanism and would like to opt-in, applications for rebates and completed projects may be submitted with a date after the DSM mechanism appears on the utility invoice. An industrial customer who opts-in to the DSM mechanism must remain for a minimum 3-year period.3. LG&E gas-only customers are not eligible for this program.KU also offers a custom program that provides $0.03 per kilowatt hour saved.
