Program Summary

This program is no longer available; all funding has been committed. The below is for information only.  Efficiency Maine is offering up to $1,500 in energy efficiency incentives for homeowners and landlords in the state. Projects must save at least 25% on space or water heating to be eligible. The incentives are open to all Maine residents. Homeowners must participate in an energy audit (using an Efficiency Maine approved contractor) as a first step to accessing incentive. After the audit is complete and recommended energy efficiency improvements identified, an application must be submitted for pre-approval before any of the improvements are actually implemented. Documentation of the audit must be submitted with the application. Only pre-approved applications will be eligible for rebates.
