CenterPoint Energy - SCORE Program

The SCORE Program is a market transformation program offered to K-12 school districts and higher education customers in the CenterPoint Energy, Inc. electric distribution service territory.

The program helps administrators and facility supervisors operate their buildings more efficiently by understanding the technical and financial benefits of investing in energy efficiency.

The program is of no cost to participants and provides a framework for implementing a wide range of efficiency measures. Customers enrolling in the program receive technical and energy management assistance to help them make decisions about cost effective investments in facility energy efficiency. Partners also receive direct cash incentives for completed energy efficiency projects that reduce peak electric demand. Incentives are worth $185/kW for projects that reduce peak kW demand.

The program is made available at no cost to eligible participants and incentives are paid directly to the participant. Other services offered include benchmarking studies for facilities, the creation of an energy master plan, identification and evaluation of opportunities for energy efficiency measures, and communications support.
