New Smyrna Beach offers residential customers incentives for improving the energy efficiency of eligible homes. Eligible measures include insulation upgrades, window solar screens, duct repairs, cool roof products, air conditioners, heat pumps and solar attic fans. The rebates are as follows:Window solar screen rebate: $1/sq foot of window area up to a $300 creditAdded insulation rebate: $0.08/sq foot of conditioned living space up to a $300 creditDuct Leak Repair: 50% of cost up to $20016 SEER Central A/C Heat Pump Rebate: 3-ton and under: $300; Over 3 ton: $500Cool/Reflective Roof Rebate: $0.14 per square foot of conditioned living space up to $375Solar Attic Fan: 25% of installed cost up to $300 Electric Straight Cooling System with Natural Gas Heating or Heat Strips: $240; Over 3 ton: $400High Performance Windows: $2/sq. ft. up to $300Energy Efficiency Traditional or Tubular Skylights: 25% of installed cost up to $300Customers must be on an electric rate plan in the New Smyrna Beach service area.
