Florida Public Utilities - Residential HVAC Rebate Program

Florida Public Utilities offers $100 rebates when you replace your HVAC system or install a new high-efficiency heat pump or air conditioner rated 15.0 SEER or higher. You must be an FPU electric customer, own the residence in FPU's service area, have a ducted system, and submit a signed application within 90 days of installation to qualify.

This program provides dealer incentives of $25–$75 per qualifying unit (depending on whether it's a heat pump replacement, new installation, or air conditioner replacement) once the customer's $100 rebate is approved. You must install AHRI-rated heat pumps or central air conditioning systems with minimum 15.0 SEER, verify compliance with codes and standards, and meet equipment specifications including supplemental strip heating limits and thermostat requirements.

FPU administers $100 customer rebates funded by the utility to promote HVAC efficiency upgrades among residential electric customers in its service territory. The program targets owner-occupied homes with ducted systems upgrading to 15.0 SEER or higher equipment; customers may reapply after 5 years. Applications must be submitted within 90 days of installation, and dealer incentives are processed post-approval.
