Program Summary
Black Hills Energy offers the Residential New Construction Program to builders and contractors building homes in its Colorado service territory. This program encourages builders to install high efficiency heating and cooling systems, electric appliances, and lighting fixtures in new homes. Qualifying equipment must be purchased and installed after filling out the application form. Black Hills Energy also offers a $200 rebate for homes that are certified Energy Star, meaning that they have met the minimum index for Energy Star certification for either zone 4 or 5 depending on the county.
