Cuivre River Electric - Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs

Cuivre River Electric members can claim rebates on heating and cooling upgrades through the Take Control & Save program, such as $750 per ton for new ground source heat pump installations or up to $750 for heat pump water heaters (50% of cost). You can help CREC member customers access rebates on geothermal heat pumps ($750/ton new, $150/ton replacement with 19.1 EER minimum), dual fuel heat pumps ($300–$500/ton depending on fossil fuel backup), mini split units ($150/ton or $150/unit), advanced thermostats (up to $50), heat pump water heaters (50% up to $750), and commercial lighting (variable, up to $30,000 annually, capped at 40% of equipment cost). Documentation and AHRI certificates are required for approval.

The Take Control & Save rebate program has distributed over $5.3 million since 2008 to CREC members in Missouri across residential and commercial sectors. Rebates target high-efficiency heating/cooling (GSHP and dual fuel heat pumps account for over 4 MW of demand savings and 6,654+ tons installed), water heating, lighting, and controls. Individual rebates are capped by equipment type and cost-share limits; business lighting claims are capped at $30,000 annually and 40% of equipment cost.
