White River Valley Electric Cooperative members can earn rebates on qualifying energy-efficient equipment including heat pump water heaters (up to $750), air source and mini-split heat pumps ($300–$500 per ton depending on type), smart thermostats ($50), and weatherization improvements (50% up to $750) after completing an energy audit. WRVEC customers ordering heat pumps, water heaters, thermostats, and weatherization work can access rebates that improve project economics; contractors should verify ENERGY STAR ratings, HSPF2 minimums (8.1 or higher for ducted/mini-split), AHRI certificates, and Manual J calculations (for ground source heat pumps, pre-approval required before installation). Ground source heat pumps require pre-approval with Manual J calculations and product ratings before installation, or the rebate may be denied.

The Take Control & Save program, launched in 2008 through Associated Electric Cooperative Inc., processes rebate applications monthly with caps per equipment type (2–50 tons depending on technology and sector) and per-account limits. WRVEC members with residential and commercial accounts qualify; weatherization rebates require prior energy audits within 12 months, and all completed projects undergo cooperative follow-up audits to verify compliance with published technical criteria and funding guidelines.
