Program Summary

Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU), a municipal utility, offers rebates to buy-down the cost of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to its electricity customers. The standard residential rebate level is $2.00/watt AC and the non-residential rebate level is $2.25/watt AC per customer site each fiscal year (October - September). Actual rebate levels will be determined by utility inspection of the system, and may take into account shading or other factors that affect the efficiency of the system. All customer classes are eligible and the receipt of a rebate does not affect participation in other BTU energy conservation programs. Multi-family housing units are eligible for the program, but applications must be submitted as a combined, single application. The rebate does not cover battery systems. The largest residential system eligible is 3 kilowatts and the largest non-residential system eligible to receive incentives is 9 kilowatts. Non-residential customers interested in this rebate must call Bryan Texas Utilities for information as the application is not available on the web site. Residential customers may access program materials, including an application, on Bryan Texas Utilities' web site. Please see the program guidelines and program website for further information.
