Bryan Texas Utilities - SmartBUSINESS Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) offers an incentive for its commercial customers via the SmartBUSINESS Program to increase the efficiency of their facilities. BTU will consider any project proposed by the customer which achieves an energy savings of at least 20%. BTU will determine the incentive which will be at least 10%, and not exceed 20% of the cost. Full details are on the program website. To be eligible you must:Be an owner of a non-residential structure within the BTU service territory. Be billed on a commercial or industrial rate. Provide proof that projects will meet minimum 20% reduction in demand. Provide before and after photos of the project. Provide all invoices or receipts for project. Projects must be complete in the same fiscal year for which they're submitted (Oct. 1 - Sept. 30). Rebate amounts are dependent upon kW demand reduction and are not to exceed $30,000/customer/yr. Projects most commonly include LED lighting upgrades, HVAC/chiller replacements, and large equipment replacements. Insulation does not qualify as it does not result in demand reduction.
