Port Angeles Public Works & Utilities - Solar Energy System Rebate

Port Angeles Public Works & Utilities customers with electric water heating are eligible for a solar water heating system rebates of $500 for each 31 square feet of collector area.

The program is funded through the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). Systems must meet the general and technical specifications established by the BPA's Bright Way to Heat Water Solar Water Heater Program. In order for installations to be eligible for the discount, customers must select a City Authorized Contractor. The City must inspect completed systems. The utility also offers a $500 rebate for each kilowatt of PV installed. To be eligible for the rebate, the system must be designed to be compatible with the utility net metering regulations.
