Program Summary
Southern California Edison's Ag Efficiency Plus Program provides rebates to their agricultural customers who install energy efficient equipment in their facilities. Eligible agricultural facilities include dairies, greenhouses, livestock farms, food processing facilities, orchards, crop farms, feedlots, aquaculture facilities, wineries, and warehouses. Prescriptive rebates are available for a wide variety of equipment including lighting, motors, variable speed drives, controllers, ventilation and refrigeration equipment. If a facility uses specialized equipment or operates under a schedule that is not typical of other agricultural producers or processors, the customer can receive custom rebates determined on a per kWh saved basis. Custom measures, however, are capped at 50% of the project cost, while prescriptive rebates can pay 100% of the costs. Total incentives per site may not exceed $350,000. Southern California Edison can also provide free energy audits through this program to be conducted by one of their program partners Global Energy Partners, LLC and EnSave, Inc.
