Program Summary

On May 2, 2006 the Governor of Deleware signed SB 281 and appropriated $8 million in funds to the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control for an Energy Efficiency Program.

The program is divided between residential and non-residential electric customers. The Energy An$wers for Home Appliances Program provides grants to Delaware residents that retire inefficient appliances and replace them with select high efficiency products. Delaware residents may select any combination of five products for the home up to $500. Grants are available through this program for qualified refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, electric water heaters, central A/C, and air conditioning window units.
