You can help CP&L member-customers access rebates on a wide range of efficiency measures by ensuring proper documentation: provide itemized receipts with equipment/labor breakouts, manufacturer and model numbers, and AHRI certification for air-source heat pumps. Ground-source heat pumps ($500/ton for new, $250/ton for replacement), heat pump water heaters ($350 for ENERGY STAR units 30+ gallons), and ductless mini-splits ($500–$1,500) offer strong customer value; dual-fuel air-source systems include a $500 bonus. All credits post to the member's account within the 90-day application window.

CP&L, in partnership with Tri-State Generation and Transmission, administers account credits (not cash rebates) for residential efficiency across thermal storage, heat pumps, water heaters, and appliances, funded through Tri-State matching in low-income weatherization (up to $500/household). The program targets both general residential members and low-income households; applicants must submit within 90 days of purchase with itemized receipts and equipment certifications (AHRI for air-source heat pumps, ENERGY STAR ratings where required). Accounts may qualify for multiple rebates on a case-by-case basis; no other Tri-State efficiency credits or special rates apply concurrently.
