Program Summary
North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) is an electric cooperative that serves 97,000 residential and commercial customers in the northwest Georgia counties of Catoosa, Chattooga, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Walker and Whitfield. North Georgia EMC offers cash incentives for all-electric homes that are built to the Energy Right Homes program specifications. Homes can be built to meet Gold, Platinum or Platinum Certified recommendations for insulation, windows, caulking, duct sealing and other energy efficient specifications. The homes are inspected by North Georgia EMC and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) representatives and assigned a Energy Right level. Homeowners can receive a rebate of $100 or $200 depending on the Energy Right certification level. For more information on the Energy Right level recommendations and how to build an Energy Right home, visit the program website. Water Heater Replacement incentives are available to qualifying customers who are replacing old water heaters.
