Piedmont EMC members can earn rebates for energy-efficient heat pumps ($300–$500 depending on efficiency ratings), smart thermostats ($100 initial rebate plus $5/month bill credits June–September), heat pump water heaters ($100), and electric vehicles ($50 bill credit). Installation must be done by a licensed contractor with proof of purchase, and your home must have a minimum monthly average of 800 kWh usage; contact Piedmont Electric or visit their website to apply with a contractor receipt dated within one calendar year.

You can serve Piedmont EMC members installing ENERGY STAR-rated or high-SEER heat pumps, air conditioning systems, heat pump water heaters, smart thermostats, and pool pumps—all requiring proof of purchase and proper licensing/insurance. Rebate amounts range from $100 to $500 for heat pumps based on efficiency specs (SEER/SEER2 and HSPF ratings), and the program requires AHRI Certificates and installation on primary residences with at least 1,000 sq ft conditioned space and 800 kWh+ monthly usage to qualify.
