City of North St. Paul Electric Utility - Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

North St Paul Electric Utility offers an incentive for its commercial and industrial customers to install premium-efficiency motors, variable frequency drives, energy efficient lighting fixtures and sensors, and other custom measures. New motors will receive a $5 - $7/HP rebate and upgraded motors will receive a $20 - 22/HP rebate. Variable frequency drives (VFDs) from 1-200 HP will receive a rebate of $36 per HP. Commercial lighting rebates are available for new construction and retrofit projects, and the amount of the rebate varies by type of fixture. Customers must apply for a rebate within one year of purchasing equipment. The purchase date is the date shown on the customer’s invoice. North St Paul Electric Utility also offers a custom rebate program for energy saving measures not listed above. Custom Rebates are determined on a case-by-case basis and are based upon energy savings. Some examples of projects that would qualify include: LED Lighting, insulated freezer doors, insulated dock doors, air compressors, refrigeration technologies, rooftop AC units, and building envelope improvements.
