Program Summary

Alexandria Light and Power (ALP) offers the Bright Energy Solutions portfolio of energy efficient incentives to its commercial and industrial customers. Rebates for qualified, energy-efficient lighting, water heaters, coolers/chillers, air conditioning units, air-source and geothermal heat pumps, programmable thermostats, pumps, motor/VFDs, and other custom measures are provided in order to assist customers in lowering costs and operate more efficiently. Lighting rebates are available for retrofits and new construction, and vary according to type of pre-qualified equipment. Other equipment must also meet specific energy efficiency standards. Customers should review the program details for a list of eligible measures and efficiency requirements. ALP also offers a custom rebate for energy saving measures not listed above. The incentive is based on a dollar amount per average kW removed during the months of June, July, August, and September. For projects other than lighting and lighting related technologies, an additional incentive per annual KWH saved is offered. Application materials and more information regarding equipment qualifications are located on the program web site.
