Program Summary

North Attleborough Electric Department offers two incentives to its residential customers for increasing the energy efficiency of their homes. The ENERGY STAR Appliance Rebate Program provides rebates for the installation of energy efficient appliances. Funding is limited, so customers are encouraged to check with the NAED before purchasing new appliances. The Home Improvement Incentive Program makes rebates up to $300 available to residential customers for weatherization improvements which increase the energy efficiency of their homes, such as insulation, ENERGY STAR window replacement and ENERGY STAR door replacement. To participate customers must first schedule an energy audit which includes an examination of the home’s heating and hot water systems, shell insulation, appliances, windows, doors and lighting. Customers can then receive a rebate for one of the recommended improvements. There is a limit of one appliance rebate and one incentive payment (up to $300) per NAED customer per calendar year.
