Glendale Water and Power - AC Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Glendale Water and Power (GWP) offers an incentive for landlords and building owners of multi-family residential rental units to replace inefficient air conditioning units with new ENERGY STAR® qualified units. All air conditioning units to be replaced must be in working condition. Window air conditioning units do not qualify. The actual rebate amount is determined by the level of efficiency and can equal up to 50% of the installed cost. Building owners must contact GWP (818) 548-3300 to schedule a pre-retrofit inspection. GWP will conduct the inspection, record the existing SEER/EER levels, and check that the AC is operational. The building owner then has the work completed work and notifies GWP so that a post-retrofit inspection can be conducted. After GWP conducts the post-retrofit inspection, the final rebate amount will be calculated.  See the program website for further information on this incentive program.
