Progress Energy Florida - Commercial Ceiling Insulation Rebate Program

Progress Energy Florida offers an incentive to its business customers for upgrading their ceiling insulation. Upon request, Progress Energy Florida will provide a free Business Energy Check to determine if the facility is eligible for the incentive. Eligible facilities will earn $75, plus 5¢ per square foot above 1,500 square feet, to bring the insulation level up to a minimum R-19, or $100, plus 7¢ per square foot above 1,500 square feet, to bring it up to R-30. Eligible facilities must be over two years old and have central electric air conditioning and/or central electric heating. Insulation installations must comply with all applicable Florida codes.
