Program Summary

The Local Government Energy Efficiency Loan Program offers low interest loans to municipal and county governments for energy efficiency-related projects in courthouses, administration buildings, schools, maintenance facilities, and any other building owned by the city or county. Free energy audits and technical assistance is available to all local government institutions regardless of whether they borrow loan funds. Eligible projects can borrow up to $500,000 at an approximate 3% interest rate.
