Program Summary

This program, administered by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, provides payments to those who produce more than 10,000,000 gallons of denatured ethanol per year. Producers that have manufactured ethanol in Wisconsin for fewer than five years, and purchase relevant equipment from local sources, are eligible. The Department will pay eligible producers $0.20/gallon for up to 15 million gallons of denatured ethanol per year for five years (depending on funding). This program expires July 1, 2006.
